Seven Countries Represented in Three finals 1
The Round of 32: Dumbovich v. Allix 2
Swiss Teams Day Two 3

It was a day for exciting finishes as the team championships, and several of them echoed the famous sentiment ‘It’s not over until the fat lady sings.’ None more so than the matches involving Team Orange 1. In their quarter final against Denmark the Dutchmen, with only seven deals remaining, managed to turn a deficit of 44 IMPs into a remarkable win by 12 IMPs. The boot was almost on the other foot in their semi final when they built up a huge lead against Ozdil only to see almost all of it disappear in the second half before they emerged winners by a 3 IMPs. In today’s final they will face Miroglio, who defeated Hecht.
In the Women’s event the big surprise was the way Weber put away Baker in the quarter final and they went on to reach the final by seeing off the challenge of Pasman.
D’Ovidio overcame a big deficit in their quarter final against Chantal and went on to cruise into the final by defeating USA/Russia.
The Seniors final is between Szenberg and Fornaciari.
