England duly completed the victory that has been on the cards for almost the entire tournament to become European Ladies Team Champions at the first attempt. Nicola Smith, Heather Dhondy, Michelle Brunner and Sally Brock have all won before representing Great Britain, but it was a first victory for Rhona Goldenfied and Margaret Courtney. The reigning Venice Cup Champions, The Netherlands, will get the chance to defend their title after finished second. Germany took the bronze medals despite an amazing last round collapse while Austria and Italy secured the two remaining qualifying places. These five teams will carry the hopes of Europe to Bali.
