The steam roller that is team Italy continued to flatten everything in its path as the Championships draw towards a close. They collected 65 VP to increase their advantage yet again, this time to 80.5 VP. Spain retained second place and they, together with Norway and Bulgaria hold a significant advantage over fifth placed Poland, who are hotly pursued by Sweden and France. England, Netherlands and Israel are also close enough to have a chance.

Despite having their bye, Germany's stayed 8 VP ahead of the field thanks to the activities of their opponents. The Netherlands retain second place, but they are now 14 VP clear of third placed England, who have it all to do if they are to retain their title.

What might have been the vital match in the Seniors took place on VuGraph between France and Israel. It was a tense affair, but France prevailed 19-11 to open up an eleven point gap at the top. Israel moved into second place, just ahead of Denmark. Croatia appear to be the only other team in with a realistic chance of a medal.
