The Polish Junior team successfully defended the
title they won last year in Prague. Congratulations to Konrad
Araskiewicz, Lukasz Brede, Krzysztof Buras, Jacek Kalita, Krzysztof
Kotorowicz and Piotr Madry. All but Brede were also in last year’s
winning team. Italy took the silver medal and France the bronze.
Norway and Hungary also qualify for next year’s World Championships,
while Israel would also travel should Europe once again have a sixth
place. Poland also successfully defended their Schools title,
Israel taking the silver medal and Norway the bronze. These three
countries will represent Europe in the first World Schools teams
Championship next year. Congratulations to the Polish team:
Bartlomiej Igla, Joanna Krawczyk, Artur Machno, Jan Sikora, Maciej
Sikora and Artur Wasiak. Jan Sikora was also in the team that won in
Prague last summer. |
