Triple Tie at Top

Belgium and Poland joined Russia at the top of the Open series rankings, Poland having a particularly good day with three wins - against Ireland, San Marino and Slovenia.

In the Ladies Pairs, the third session of the qualifying round decided the 28 finalists, while the rest were offered a place in the consolation tournament.

Italians Monica Buratti and Darinka Forti lead the way after the first final session, but favourites Daniela von Arnim and Sabine Auken are breathing down their necks in second place. It is worth noting that all three pairs from the German Ladies are in the top eight!
