Perhaps another name will be inscribed here in Salsomaggiore, adding to the illustrious history of these remarkable Championships were the concluding lines of the story of the Championships that appeared in the programme.

How delighted everyone is to see that speculation turned into reality by the popular team from The Netherlands, Bep Vriend, Marijke van der Pas, Jet Pasman, Anneke Simons, Wietske van Zwol & Femke Hoogweg, with Captain Ed Franken and Coach Chris Niemeijer. As the largest NBO in Europe we can be sure that the Netherlands Bridge Bond will be celebrating long into the night.

Germany took the Silver, and England the bronze, with Italy fourth and Sweden fifth.

Our Congratulations to the Seniors Champions, France, represented by Christian Mari, François Leenhardt, Pierre Adad, Maurice Aujaleu, Philippe Poizat & Guy Lasserre with Captain Yves Aubry.

Israel took the silver, and Denmark the bronze.
